Embark on a unique 1.5-hour journey with Helford River Boats' sea truck, exploring hidden coves, some that are only accessible by the specialised vessel. Enjoy the opportunity to swim in these secluded spots, with 2 to 3 swims offered during the warmer months and at least 1 swim in the cooler months. Discover the untouched beauty of the Helford River in an unforgettable adventure. Our pilot Mark, is a very experienced pilot with an amazing knowledge of the area, which all adds to the trip.
As with all our adventures, the swim is fully risk assessed, and is dependent on tide and weather conditions.

FAQ's

Is a walk required?

Yes, from the car park to the beach. This is less than half a mile but is uphill on the way back. You can be dropped off and picked up at the bottom, but there is no parking near the beach.
Occasionally, you will need to walk on a flat road to get on the sea truck, this is tide/weather dependent.

Do i need to be able to swim?

We do advise you're able to swim for at least 10 minutes, as we do swim off beaches/coves.

do i need any specific equipment?

You will need a tow float and swim hat.

do i need to bring food & a drink?

As with any adventure, we do provide cake!! You will need a hot drink for after your swim(s). If we are going over lunchtime we will advise if you need to bring a picnic, or we sometimes go to a pub (this is optional).
